FAUN (military firefighter)

The Faun military firefighter, famously known as the Faun FlKfz (Flugfeldlöschfahrzeug), is a heavy-duty, highly specialized Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) vehicle. Originally commissioned by the German Bundeswehr (military) and built on rugged Faun multi-axle chassis, these vehicles are designed to combat massive, highly dangerous jet fuel and ammunition fires on airbases.
