DUKW

A dukw, popularly known as "Duck." It is an amphibious vehicle used during World War II by allied forces, designed to operate both on land and water. It was mainly used to transport troops and supplies through mixed land, which made it invaluable in amphibious operations. Its design includes nautical characteristics, such as its similar shape to a boat, combined with wheels for land displacement.
